This week in image of the week:
This is a shot of Perch Rock Lighthouse in New Brighton, Wirral. It was an extremely windy day as you can see from the tide which is the River Mersey, so I had to steady myself on Fort Perch Rock to my right.
I love the color gradient of the sky in this photograph with the lighthouse to one side as if looking at the scene itself!
I would have gone back on a less windy day but the color of the sky was so deep and there were no clouds (not at the top anyway), so it was just too good an opportunity to miss.
And on my little camera with no tripod I think it has come out quite well. It was way too windy to try the digital zoom even if I had had a tripod. But if I had zoomed in on the lighthouse I would have missed that lovely deep blue sky at the top.
