This week in image of the week:
I thought I would continue on from last weeks image when I visited Portsmouth, to another favourite image of mine.
I like taking nautical photographs because there is so much detail, pattern and colour in nautical subjects to make interesting photographs, that you can be spoilt for choice.
This is a picture of the HMS Victory which is in dry dock in Portsmouth Naval Yard. It was taken on my camera using 2 x digital zoom. I like the patterns that the rigging makes and the way that the sun is shining through the rigging and silhouetting it.
I took loads of pictures of the Victory and it was really hard to pick a favourite. I really like textures and patterns and there was lots of opportunities to find and capture them here.

another washed out photo… you can do better than that…
These are photos I have taken on my journey as a photographer. This is the start of my blog and my journey, it wouldn’t be much of a journey if I could take fantastic photos straight off.
I hope to show with time how I improve. Thanks for the encouragement though!
